Alex's Tech Thoughts

If you are thinking of joining a startup and have a few offers on the table, take the one where you will be able to work directly under the founder. This is becoming a founder’s apprentice.
It can be an unofficial role, but should be spoken about with the founder before you accept the offer.
On the agenda for a founders apprentice should be a weekly sit down with the founder to discuss different topics of starting and building a company. Topics should range from picking co-founders, raising money, negotiating, hiring and firing, managing a board, etc.
This is stuff you just can’t learn on your own without messing up along the way.
